Another one

Meet Mr. Centaur. Four hours of work but at least it's pretty much done. I rather like him but I'm not too happy with the background. Oh well.

House of Cards

This is a couple of the card designs I'm trying out for my newest design project. We are supposed to explore duality with one side having a typography emphasis. This is what I've come up with so far. We have Peer review tomorrow so this might be changing drastically if everyone hates it... hahaha...

Guess not

My painting didn't win. Sad face. Oh well I still really like it and thought I'd post it even though it's a failure. Heh... Let me know what you think about it. The colors are a little off but it's pretty close.

Next in a long line

I'm working on a short book for my portfolio class about mythical creatures. I wanted to include thirty different creatures but realistically I think I'll be lucky to get ten done by the end of the semester.

I guess this will become an ongoing project.

Anyways I have a couple of the done or mostly done illustrations for it on my website, which is MarieWilcoxArt if you're interested but I just colored a hippocampus and wanted to put it up here. You know, for funzies.

New Blog

Well looks like I've got a new blog I need to keep up with. Hurray! I'll try and keep up to date with what I'm doing.

At the moment I just finished a painting I'm hoping will be submitted to NorWesCon, a regional sci-fi/fantasy convention that's featuring a scholarship for NCA. Keep your fingers crossed! Here's the site. http://www.norwescon.org/

Anyways I've got some new concept art for our newest design homework. I'll put that up when I can scan it.

Also my family's coming to visit me this weekend so I'm very excited about that.
